Grants
Grants of up to £5,000 are available to local communities in Warwickshire to help them prevent crime or promote public safety.
Applications are invited from all sections of the community where the initiative will:
- reduce crime or promote public safety;
- benefit people and communities in Warwickshire;
- be for a charitable purpose (although the group/organisation does not need to be a registered charity);
- help local communities to identify and tackle local problems;
- be for something communities wish to set up to help themselves;
- be open to all members of the community;
- challenge a specific issue.
Applications will not be considered if:
- the funding is for the benefit of one person or a small group of individuals;
- the grant will be re-distributed to other bodies or for purposes other than that specified in the application;
- there is evidence of political bias;
- an employee or officer of Warwickshire Police will benefit directly;
- the grant will fund a campaign of any description;
- the grant will replace spending cuts made by local or central government;
- work has already taken place;
- it is a general appeal or circular.
The Trustees meet in March, June, September and December to consider grant applications.
